Aurora curled her fingers into fists. Tears started to drip down her face as the sight of Signe’s mangled body flashed in her mind. The intense pain that Signe had felt coursed through Aurora’s body, but the pink-haired student didn’t flinch. She gritted her teeth and broke away from Olem, standing opposite the angel.
“I do hate the woods! It is my least favourite place on this entire planet! Nothing but bad things happen to me or the people I care for there! But why did you appear?! Why couldn’t you have stalked me from the shadows?! I am in great pain and agony over losing a woman I saw as a little sister! But the second I started to smile, to laugh; the second I started to enjoy myself with Olem, YOU make yourself known! I never asked for or wanted Signe’s love! I didn’t even think people were capable of falling in love overnight like she apparently did! I wanted to be her friend… I wanted her to be included… I never wanted her to feel left out but all I ended up doing was somehow string her along and I-I can never forgive myself for doing that…”
Aurora collapsed to her knees. “I want you gone. I don’t want you near me. Make it so I can’t see you. Can’t feel you. Can’t hear you. Can’t sense you. You are playing off my biggest paranoia; you cause me more pain standing there, reminding me of how I failed Signe than anything else in this world.”
Aurora pulled the necklace out of her pocket and stared at it. “Just go.” She closed her gloved hand around the necklace and held it to her chest.

"She never asked for it," said the Angel. "Neither was it my intention to ruin your happiness. It is my job to make you happy. I thought you would be, my Lady. That's why I did not want you to see me, but my messages brought you so much distress... I couldn't help myself..." The Angel looked down. "I was human once. I suppose we're all weak really. If you wish to blame her for all this you have every right to. If you wish to hit me and beat all the blood from me I will not fight back. I do not feed from your unhappiness. I wanted you to smile." She began to silently cry, but it was blood, not tears, that came from her eyes. "I can't even fulfil a dying girl's wish." She looked to Aurora. "I will make you unable to sense me, but I will step in if you feel pain. That was the terms. Farewell Aurora Ross. I hope that my warning was not in vain." The Angel spread its wings and vanished into thin air.

"Well, that was fucking disturbing" Olem muttered, watching the angel vanish. He moved over to Aurora where he crouched next to her. "She's gone now. Do you want to continue our walk or head back to accommodation block?"

Aurora felt like screaming. The tears continued to fall down her face. Her heart was breaking. “I don’t blame you. I don’t blame Signe.” Aurora whispered to the wind. “I only blame myself, but now I can never detach myself from this…” She pocketed the necklace once more and continued to cry into the palm of her hands. “How can someone love me so much that even with their final dying breath they only thought of me?!” Aurora could not comprehend that amount of love and devotion.

Olem wrapped his arms around Aurora, and pulled her close, holding her tightly against his chest for a few minutes, watching his shirt get soaked with her tears.

Aurora cried and cried and cried. Eventually she muttered; “There was someone out there who loved me enough to die for me… and my affections are directed towards a man who-“ Her voice choked up and she began to wipe the tears from her eyes. She didn’t look at Olem’s face. “L-let’s go back.” She sighed, defeated and broken.

Olem knew exactly what she was hinting at. He let go of her and got up, offering her his hand as he thought about the angel. 'If it was Signe's dying wish to not cause her anymore harm then she shouldn't have fucking killed herself' he thought angrily to himself. He couldn't fathom why Aurora felt so guilty for Signe's death, and it was just causing issues. He liked Aurora, he really did, and this Signe business seemed to be slowly shattering her sanity. He threw on a smile for Aurora, but it didn't reach his eyes.

She took Olem’s hand and stood up. She walked with him, hand in hand in silence for a while. When her voice wasn’t going to crack, she started to talk. “Once again… our time together has ended up in chaos. I really, really just wanted to have a pleasant autumn walk with you today. To learn about you, to be beside you and to just try to relax. I started to smile, laugh and feel at ease again, and yet something once more has shattered my heart.” Aurora squeezed Olem’s hand tightly. “No-one has ever seen me this broken and destroyed. Not even me. Thank you for not running off and leaving me. Thank you for just letting me cry; I just needed to get it out. I wanted to be with you to help you, but it’s just ended up with you helping me.” Aurora closed her eyes.

Olem squeezed her hand in return, and turned his head to smile at her "I will never ever run off and leave you, you mean to much to me". He turned his head back so it was facing the front. "Lets get back quickly, it's starting to get nippy"

Aurora looked shocked at what Olem had just said. She stared at him with quivering eyes before a small smile tugged at her lips. A single tear slipped out before she hugged his arm and walked closely to him. “Do we have anymore of that hot chocolate left?” she queried as they made their way back to campus.

"Well, that went well." Sigyn looked at the speaker. "Brunhilde." Brunhilde sighed and put her hand on Sigyn's shoulder. "Why did you do that?" "Because my messages were making her sad." "And why did you send her the message?" "Because I thought she deserves something nice for once." Brunhilde sighed. "Sigyn, the part of Signe Vestergaard that you were made of was of her dying promise. You have all of Signe's memories and at no point did you think this might strain her." Sigyn looked puzzled. "I don't understand," she said. "Why Aurora Ross would cry for her. Signe Vestergaard was a pest, an inconvenience, abhorant to her. Why does the removal of the source of the pain cause her more?" Brunhilde sighed. "Because it is what happens, and why if Christina Savage had not dammaged your brain you would have done what I once did and killed the person who mattered most to you in this world. And trust me, that leads to self-arson." Brunhilde sighed again. "Be more careful," she said. "Be more subtle, and do everything you can to help her even if it destroys you. Remember, we are Valkyries. We fight for the same of the loves we have squandered and this is how we pay for our mistakes."

(OOC much later from the above)
Chris slowly came round as her eyes flickered open. She blinked hard a few times before she sat up, holding her head. Looking round she could see that she was in some sort of warehouse but it was different to the one she had just been fighting in. There was a beam of sunshine coming through the roof, shining down upon her as if she'd been chosen by God or something. As she looked up, covering her eyes from the glaring light, Chris realised that she must have crashed through the ceiling when her energy gave out and she consequently lost consciousness.
As she sat back, leaning on her arms, Chris suddenly remembered her bag and frantically began to look round for it. It had only landed a few metres away but Chris dove inside it to check its contents. Thankfully her special item was still fully intact, no damage done. The same could not be said for her however. Her coat was severely chard from the intense heat it had been subjected to the day before. Her hat had also blackened around the rim somewhat. Rubbing her face, Chris remembered she was still wearing her makeshift mask. She ripped it off and placed the rag in her coat pocket.
For a little while she just sat there, still breathing quite heavily. After a few more moments, Chris attempted to get up but just instantly collapsed back down to the ground. She was still completely out. Perhaps she shouldn't have fired herself up so much when Margarita and her associate had escaped. With a groan, the image of her beating Herbert flashed across her mind but that soon turned back into anger. Chris was still outraged by what Herbert had done and by what she thought his reasons for doing so were. She clenched her fist and a small spark of red glowed for a split second. Trying to calm herself down, Chris closed her eyes and began to breathe slowly. She felt herself becoming more peaceful.
With one last huge effort and strain on her physical abilities, Chris staggered and wobbled to her feet. She picked up her bag and headed out into London central. She needed food.
(OOC Chris has left)
