London's huge train network, twisting beneath the city. Dirty, dark, with the constant rattle of trains and the shoving of people, it may even be a good place for certain heroes to hide out. Standing by the station, the wind echoing through the tunnels, once best keep their guard up.

Herbert stood on the station, waiting for his train. He kept running through what his father had said. Nathan so far appeared to be the only one who understood him; was he actually becoming a friend? Frowning, he shivered in the cold, waiting to go back to campus.

'You never passed on my message,' the Redeemer said, as he appeared leaning against the wall of the underground. His suit hummed and gave off a faint purple glow as lines of power pulsed across it. He was wearing a dark cloak.

Herbert jerked around, his hands clenching into fists as a time slowed around him.
"It's you," he muttered. "From my dreams, from accident day."

'Yes, it's me,' he said softly, moving away from the wall. 'I must say, I am still disappointed you didn't pass on that message. It was a reasonable request, and now I've had to go and do it myself.' He shrugged. 'Ah well, you know what they say,' he said, moving closer to Herbert, his suit humming.
'I've actually come to make you an offer.'

"What type of offer?" He frowned, trying to recall memories of any power he'd been near. Just in case he needed them.

'An offer to join me,' the Redeemer told him. 'I want to help the superhumans, but what we have now is not good enough. I am looking for trusted friends to help me bring about a fairer society,' he explained. He started pacing. 'No strings attached, just an offer.'
He noticed the look on Herbert's face. 'I am not a villain, but I warn you, Herbert' he said, pointing his finger at the other superhuman. 'I am dangerous.' He stopped and looked at Herbert, the pulsing purple lens bouncing light off the walls of the tunnel. He extended a hand.
'Will you join me?'

And then the sky ripped apart and the dark figure from the square emerged. "Take my hand and together we can destroy Olympus. But you need to take my hand!" He was insistent, and it looked so tempting...
Herbert's dream shot across his mind. This was it; this was the moment. And he didn't know what to do.
"What are you going to do? And why me? My parents are Olympians!" He cried desperately.

The Redeemer's body tightened. His hand whipped back to his side. 'What did you see?' he snapped. He stepped forward, his voice deadly calm but his body was shaking slightly.
'Look, you don't understand. I'm here to help us all!' he implored. 'But I do... regret what will happen to your parents if you don't accept my offer.' He paused. 'Herbert, we can do so much together!'
He stretched out his hand again. 'Trust me.'

Herbert pointed a finger slowly. "I saw you in my dreams. You made me this same offer. How did you know that?" He asked, referring to how the Redeemer had suddenly whipped his hand back as if he'd seen the dream too.
"Did you threaten my parents?" He asked, throwing his empathy out, but he couldn't feel anything. The man in black appeared... dead. He took a step back. "Why should I trust you? You're not telling me why you need me and you threatened my parents!"

'Herbert, I'm trying to do good for all of us! That's why you should trust me,' he said angrily. He slashed his hand through the air. 'Put aside your worries about your parents for a moment. You know Olympus is corrupt to the core!'
He started muttering to himself. 'They couldn't even help anyone... and your parents are Olympians.' He turned back to Herbert, in a fury. 'They are all LIARS!' he shouted. A darkness emitted from him and suddenly everything seemed blacker. 'Stop defending them!'

"SHUT UP!" Herbert cried. "I'm not joining you! You'd have to kill me first!" He couldn't stand his parents being insulted. Electricity started to flicker across his palms as he rage built, just like his father's did when his family was threatened. He raised his hands in defence, backing away but with a static burst tendrils of electricity exploded outwards towards the Redeemer.

The Redeemer shoved it aside and the electricity scattered into the darkness.
'You shouldn't have done that,' he warned, and suddenly released a massive blast of black energy out towards Herbert.

He was hit by a wave of darkness, throwing him off his feet. Herbert, already injured, hit the ground hard, crying out in pain. He lay there, trying to stop his head from ringing as the Redeemer approached.

The Redeemer leaned over Herbert, his suit humming. 'Herbert, I didn't want it to come to this. But I now I can't count you as an ally, which is a shame. Now stay down, boy.' He leaned close. 'You're not a hero.'
