(OOC: Assuming we're on a new 'day' now ;P)
Aurora walked into Tesco to get some food after a damn long time at the police station. She picked their meal deal and then scanned the chilled section for something else. Her eyes lit up when she saw a special offer on a pack of three mini cheesecakes. “Mmm, cheesecake.” She whispered as she dropped the bargain into her basket.
She got to the medicine aisle and started at a specific end of it. As she mulled over whether to get a pack with wings or not, she had an odd idea; 'I wonder if I could pass that on to someone else...' In conclusion, she picked up a pack of tampons instead. 'Now that's a thought, what about sex-specific illnesses and wounds? Would I be able to give a man ovarian cancer?' Aurora continued to walk down the aisle, still in her clothes from the horrid night before. 'No, I guess that wouldn't be possible. I doubt I would be able to transfer something like testicular torsion to myself if I don't have the vessel for it, so I shouldn't be able to pass on something to someone who physically doesn't have the parts. If the opportunity ever arises, I should certainly test this out though.'
While Aurora was lost in her thoughts, she bumped into someone. “Oh, sorry- I...”
Clyde looked like he was death warmed up. He had two different packs of pain killers in his hand. He stared at Aurora with tired eyes. “Yo. I um, heard what happened last night...”
“News travels fast...”
“Yeah.”
There was an awkward pause before they both blurted out in unison; “I'm sorry for last night.”
Clyde shook his head. “I was being an ass. I shouldn't have pushed you; I never realised how much of a forward dick I was until you accused me of being a rapist. I'm sorry about what I said about Jessica as well. It was bang out of order.”
Aurora nodded her head. “It was. I won't lie, what you've just said is all true, but I was an awful person as well. I thought you- well you know what I thought and I was wrong. I'm glad I was wrong. So, sorry I accused you of such a thing.”
There was another awkward pause. Clyde was the first to speak. “Did you want to, start over?”
“That's probably for the best.” Aurora agreed.
“No, I mean, well you wanted us to be together, right? That's what last night was meant to be about, or am I grabbing the wrong end of the stick here?” Clyde was rubbing the back of his head. After everything that happened last night, he still liked her.
Aurora could feel the blush on her cheeks. “Oh, whoa. Okay. Yeah, that's what was meant to happen last night.” She lied. “But after all that, I don't think we should give it a go.”
“Right. Yeah, I understand.” Clyde said, crestfallen.
“Um... Friend-hug?” Aurora offered as she spread out an arm.
Clyde smiled and nodded his head. As they hugged, Aurora had the chance to right her wrong. She took the leukemia away from him.
“See you around, Rora.” He nodded and they parted ways.

(OOC: new day from previous post).
Herbert and Lucio walked into the store and decided to veer away from each other to get the stuff they needed. In this case, Lucio got the hoit chocolate, because he had an eye for it and Herbert got the biscuits.
Making his way through the aisles, Herbert considered his options; chocolate chip double, or regular. Or bourbon? As he debated this, an action caught his attention from the corner of his eye. A rather shifty figure was making his way to the counter. Pushing past people, the stubbled, hunched over guy moved up to the till and talked insistently with the girl behind the counter. Herbert frowned and was about to go back to the biscuits but he couldn't shake it.
Moving away he moved up, nearer to the man and tried to get his attention; quick as a flash, the guy turned pointing a gun straight into Herbert face.
"Whoa!" Herbert backed off, keeping his hands up. The guy glared at him.
"Back off right now; just turn around and head out that door!"
Herbert blinked and said bluntly; "I can't do that. Sorry."
The robber looked uneasy about this, but just gripped the gun tighter. "I don't think you understand!" He shouted. "I will gun you down, right now if you don't do what I say!"
Herbert could feel the emotions rolling off him. He didn't need flashy powers for this one. Just his own. "Look, dude," he said gently, "you don't need to do this."
"You don't know what I have to do!"
"True," Herbert conceded, feeling the fear and regret rolling off this guy. "But come one, don't you regret already coming here? Pulling out that gun? I know you wanted to make a quick take, but is this really worth it? At lot of people could get hurt."
"You think I didn't know that?" The guy shouted. "I'm not here to talk, just give me the money," the robber shouted, turning to the girl at the till. She started to open it, but Herbert shouted.
"Wait, don't open it. Otherwise this guy has commited a crime and that's a lot harder to walk away from," he reasoned. "Man, I just came in here to buy some hot chocolate and," he felt a weird emotion coming off him. One that Herbert was feeling right now... "I lost a friend... a day ago. Chris, her name was Chris. I think... I think I could have loved her you know? But I was too caught up with the first person I met, who I thought I, I had a crush on, to miss the only person who actually supported me, you know? Like I'd run into situations like this and while the others had a go at me, Chris was there for me. She didn;t ask, she just understood," tears started to swell in Herbert's eyes. "And I ignored her, worse, I blew her off. I was so convinced with what I thought I felt for this other girl and missed what was right in front of me. Do you know what that's like?" Herbert asked.
The guy's grip on the gun had slackened and he looked sad. "Yeah, I do actually- I," Herbert moved closer, reaching for the gun.
"It's okay to miss them," Herbert told him, reading his emotions and comparing them to his own. He had the guys gun in his hand when the man's partner burst through the door.
Crazy, with a black beard he saw Herbert taking his partners gun and held up his own. "Get back!" Herbert felt the pure fear running off him; he's been the lookout and the amount of time his friend had been inside spooked him. Herbert held the gun up, intending to explain when a shot ran out. The partner had lost his nerve.
Herbert felt weird; he felt powerful, like pure energy was casing through his veins. He also saw the bullet curving slowly towards him. So confiused by the bizarre situation, he watched it come closer. "Chris," he muttered, sure that where the new power had come from. As he realised this, the bullet hit his flesh and burrowed in towards his heart. The bullet was in his heart, so why wasn't he dead? His mind, starting to become groggy, registered one thing. Lucio - he was close enough to replicate his power. But not enough... he couldn't heal himself; he had no idea had to activate it and the shock was turning his mind to mush.
The criminals ran as Herbert swayed there for a moment, smiling, oddely, before dropping to the floor.

Lucio was in a world of his own. He was nearby, on the drinks aisle, comparing two brands of hot chocolate. He could hear some talking from Herb, but the Tellasite was stuck in an intense dillema: does he get Tescos own brand or save money, or would he get Butterfly's Finest drinking caocao at £7.80? He was short in money, but on the other hand he does like Butterfly's...
The sound of gunfire and screaming pulled Lucio from his own thoughts. He sprinted towards the source, only to be greeted with a pair of pistols and his friend on the floor. There was a brief second of delay, Lucio trying to work out what to do, what to say: "I'm with Olympus! Drop th-" Another shot rang out, the bullet hitting Lucio in the right shoulder and spinning him round. The robbers legged it, out the exit, as Lucio steadied himself. The pain was already receding and with a *dunk* the slug was pushed from his now-healed wound and fell to the floor.
Lucio rushed down to Herbert. Shit, shit shit shit shutting shit: the bullet had hit him near the heart. He was still breathing, barely. "Herbert!" Lucio shouted, "You're going to be ok. I'm here, don't worry. I'm going to heal you, but I've got to get the bullet out. This is going to hurt. A lot. I'm sorry amico." He could just catch the gleam of metal in Herbert's chest, and, grimacing, he gently pushed his fingers into the wound, trying to grab it. Herbert was screaming and crying, but Lucio had it in his- dammit, it slipped! Second Slater, hands shaking Lucio pulled the bullet from Herberts wound and placed it on the floor, bed ore taking hold of Herbert's hand with his own blood-slicked fingers. "See? I told you, amici, you're gonna be fine" he smiled through the tears. Of all the times to start crying... He thought of Herbert sitting back in a comfy chair and enjoying his hot chocolate, eyes closed as the smell of cocoa whafted into his nostrils. Warmth flowed through Lucio's arm and into Herbert. The Tellasite opened his eyes to see the wound closing up rapidly and Herbert's breathing steadied. Still clutching his friends hand, Lucio looked up at the girl on the till. "Are you ok? Did they hurt you?" She shook her head. "Ok, good. Call the police, please." He breathed out and tried to relax, waiting for Herbert to come to again.

Herbert's breathing slowed as he felt his body heal; he really needed to get this power under control. He'd been very lucky that Lucio had been here. He was healed so quickly, that he actually felt great, which was really weird.
He sat up slightly, blinking to clear his eyes. "That was embarrassing," he sighed. "If you hadn't been here, Lucio, I'd probably be dead." His head felt funny; at one point he'd been dying and now he felt perfect. That was a really weird thing to feel. "What happened to the robbers?" He asked, still holding Lucio's hand.

The crooks ran off through the carpark, gasping and panting. Reaper observed. Ordered to do so but at the same time, humans had attacked supers. There was a purple flash and Reaper stood before the would-be robbers. Reaper stretched out a hand and with another flash of darkness, the two disappeared. Disintegrated.
Reaper peered in through the store's window and witnessed Lucio heal Herbert. All was well, for now. Purple flashed around the carpark once more as Reaper vanished.

Herbert sat up, covered in his own blood. Groaning, he turned to Lucio "Nothing that helped," he said sarcastically. "I tried to connect to one, using my empathy abilities, then his partner came in and shot me," he said bitterly. He locked eyes with Lucio. "I think Chris is dead," he said suddenly. "I'm sorry, I just can't hold it in anymore."

Lucio glanced at Herbert, letting go of his hand. "Did you hit your head, Herb? Do you have a concussion? Because you're saying some pretty strange things." Two police officers walked through the entrance and made for the pair of students. They stopped a few feet away, looking nervous. "Alright which one of you is the Super?" Lucio tentatively raised his hand. Theirs moved, ever so slightly towards their tasers. "It's ok. I'm with Olympus." he said "Nobody here was hurt badly, my powers revolve around healing." the officers still eyed him with suspicion; it was probably the drying blood everywhere.

Herbert grabbed his arm and hauled himself up. "I'll talk to you about it later. Trust me, I'll explain everything. But Chris IS dead, Lucio. It's time we faced that fact." Herbert turned as the police officers asked their questions. He was a Super too... but Lucio didn't know about his powers, did he?
(OOC: Does Lucio know?)
"He's safe," Herbert insisted. "He has rapid cell regeneration and he can heal with his hands. He saved my life," he added, making sure the officers were clear he was good and shouldn't be tasered.

(I think Lucio knows but still thinks you're a speedster whose powers are kaput)
After a bit of convincing, the police let the two of them go, getting descriptions of the robbers from Herbert. The two of them stood outside Tesco. "Well, that was an exciting start to my superhero career: getting shot." Lucio joked "Now what?"

Herbert laughed. "Well it was my fault I guess. Grand speeches don't work on bad guys apparently." He looked down at his hands. "Guess I should try to get my powers going properly," he sighed, looking at Lucio.
"You know that's what I've been doing with Nathan actually. Trying to get my powers out. Do you know Nathan?"
He started walking with Lucio. "We could go back to my room? Have the hot chocolate we nearly died for, and watch some movies?" He suggested this, unsure if Lucio would actually want to. It was nice talking to Lucio. Easy; maybe he could tell him about Chris and the whole Aurora crush too later?

Simon was perusing the chilled meat section at his local Tesco. What should he have tonight, rice was still in date, perhaps some bacon? Too expensive, he had paid rent and was down to £18.23, that had to last. With a sigh he ambled to the reduced section.
Prawns, the only item only the brave or desperate suffer to buy near it's terminal date. Is it worth the risk? It's always good to get protein in ones diet but e.coli is not part of the pyramid.
With a heavy heart he leaves the shellfish to one more foolish or desperate than himself and picked up some paprika from the spice aisle. It's would basically make that rice a curry if I add some gravy. Simon thought, trying to convince himself of the culinary abomination.
Simon takes his meagre rations and sidles to the checkout, after a look at the half asleep student officiating over the tills, eyes down, unwashed, is that a thin sting of drool winding it's way to the dusted counter? Simon thought better of it and went to self checkout.
With loose changed gathered earlier from the scattering shrapnel on his desk, Simon leaves with paprika and hand, and misery awaiting the boil.
