Herbert gave him a face. "What, no, because there may be people inside!" He stood over Nathan and hauled him up.
"It's time to be a hero, Nathan. Stop sitting around training, and do something!"

Nathan looked extremely upset about having to leave The Goldbergs which was on tv. 'So what do you suggest? I get in my costume and we so the hula?'

"The what- no, I, yes, costumes!" Herbert cried. "Hurry! Take me to them; you're place is so big I can't remember where to go."

'Fine!' Nathan exclaimed in defeat. He led Herbert to his den. He started putting on his costume. 'I hate you you know?' he said tiredly.

Herbert grabbed his Nathan's partner's costume, the cream and brown/gold suit. There was just something tasteful about it as he threw it on. It actually fit rather well but he knew he'd have to get it tailored at some point. He stood up, feeling heroic.
"This is awesome," he geeked out as he pulled the half mask, leaving his mouth and jaw exposed. "What should my super name be?"

'Captain Killjoy,' Nathan remarked sourly as he pulled on his costume. He looked vaguely heroic, like he might actually be a hero. 'Let's go then kid.'

Herbert sighed. "Better than say, I don't know, Mega Man." They ran (Herb ran, Nathan panted) their way out of the house going to the broken window that Herb had crashed through before. Herbert was so excited he had little trouble using Nathan;s emotions to fly out of the window. They rode the wind towards the central London streets where a plume of smoke was rising.
(OOC: Herb and Nate went to Central London streets.)

(Later that day)
Herb and Nathan went floating through the window. Herb had a huge smile plastered on his face.
"That was amazing!" He cried as he doubled over, panting and laughing at the same time. "We saved those people!"

'Yep,' Nathan agreed tiredly. 'And we nearly died! Just because you're looking to go out like Joan of Arc doesn't mean I want to!'

Herbert shrugged him off. "Perhaps, but we did something good we-," he turned, an excited glint in his eye. "Nathan, I forgot. I came here to tell you two things, about my powers! Firstly," he started pacing he was so excited, little sparks of electricity flickering off his body. "I've been experimenting with my dad's power. I did some research and I learnt a trick. Still working on it," he added, "but I think I can control the current of my electricity. Like mA of it-"
"Could you speak, English, kid?" Nathan asked, looked pooped out on the sofa.
"Sorry," Herbert said quickly, "look, it;s not the voltage which is dangerous to a human. It's the current. Long story short, the higher the current, the more fatal it is to a human. At 15-20 mA, the current of the electricity paralyses a person. That's why people can't pull their hands off circuits when they get shocked. So what I was thinking was, I learn to control the current, then when we got to capture Olem, I produce a current of 15-20 mA and paralyse him. Simple. Go invisible and paralyse him. Done."
He looked at Nathan, his eyes shining, waiting for a response.

Nathan raised an eyebrow. 'Yeah, that's great in theory but we all know that Olem is going to pull some mad batman bullshit and somehow beat two guys who can absorb illness. I'll be popped in the head quicker than Sean Bean in Equilibrium. And the chance of us actually beating and tying up Olem is as likely as Andrew Garfield winning that Oscar for Hacksaw Ridge.'
He signed. 'They certainly hacked something off that movie and it wasn't the bad moments,' he muttered.

Herbert nodded. "Yeah, the best plans always go south. But hey," he sat down next to Nathan, taking his mask off. "Chris said she'd fight with us. We outnumber him, we have an amazing chance. Chris already broke his ribs once. And come on, you can be impressed a little. Learning more than just pulling them out now!" He reminded Nathan.
Herbert frowned, thinking back to the fire. "Nathan, you didn't happen to see what was on the building did you? That message, about the Redemption of Men?"

'That's true,' Nathan admitted. 'I do think we actually have a pretty good chance here come to think about it. And I am very impressed,' Nathan told Herbert.
Nathan's face darkened. 'No, I didn't. I just saw a classic 1960s cinema being burnt to the ground. It's a tragedy.' He signed. 'I think at the moment, we're in the dark, kid. There's nothing we can do.'

He smiled before looking down at the ground. "I guess," he looked down for a bit. "So, I don't know, I think I'll be off. Can I keep the costume? I won't know when I'll need it. See you around? You have lectures to attend." He added, looking rather depressed in contrast to his earlier happiness.

'Hey kid, don't be depressed. You did a really great thing today,' Nathan said seriously. 'You saved two people's lives. Look, we may not have caught the Redeemer but every life is a victory, Herbert. You saved two families who would have had to suffer. That's worth more than catching some prick dressed as Darth Vader, right?'
He got up and put a hand on Herbert's shoulder. 'You can keep the costume. It's yours now. You can even add extra flares because I know what you kids are like nowadays.' He sat back down. 'How about The Replicator as a superhero name?' He shrugged. 'It has to sound gay if you want it to work.'
