The Redeemer growled in frustration. Flynn was proving exceptionally difficult to overcome. He slammed his elbows against the wall, destroying it so he was thrown through, breaking the force of Herbert's telekinesis. The Redeemer glanced at his gauntlet, noting the time. Captain Omega would open the packet soon.
He teleported up a floor, intending to escape Herbert and reach Captain Omega.

Herbert saw the Redeemer flash away; he looked up quickly and activated his uncle's X-Ray vision. The floors became transparent, and he roamed quickly, enhancing his vision. He eventually saw the Redeemer, and he started running, activating is superhuman speed. With rumble, he became a blur, streaking up the floors until he reached the level of the Redeemer.
"You killed my father!" Hr roared, throwing off a huge ball of electricity.

The Redeemer turned, and didn't look surprised. A pulse of dark energy clung to him and it started dissipating as Herbert appeared. He pressed a button on his suit, and a field of bombs exploded to life under Herbert's feet, in every direction. Across the whole floor. People were being ripped apart but the Redeemer only had eyes for Herbert.
'I know,' he said coolly.
(OOC: Redeemer went back in time to set those traps perfectly. After all, Vertex energy right!)

Herbert tried to move but the bombs blew up and set him flying through the window, trailing fire and smoke. His arms felt badly burned and he thought a piece of his arm had been ripped off. He hit the ground hard, falling any stories, and groaned in pain. Only Aurora's durability had saved him from dying. His costumes was charred and torn.
He took a deep breath. The Vertex energy was still present, bolstering his powers. His tapped into Lucio's power and his body mended itself as almost instantly. He still felt whoozy though as his arm repaired itself and the burns dissapeared.

But by that time the Redeemer was already above him, his foot on his chest. The Redeemer was manipulating time to such a degree, that now his every motion reeked of speed. Not normal super speed, but the strange jerking motion of someone speeding up their motions artificially.
'What an awful suit. Why do you have a peace symbol in the centre?' he asked quizzically. The Redeemer shrugged. 'I could kill Captain Omega, but now I finally have you here I can't resist the chance to kill you.' Energy began pulsing around his fist and he slammed it down towards Herbert's head with wicked speed.

"Oh you know. The times," he panted, as Herbert's own speed caught up and he managed to catch it. He strained, struggling to keep the first off him. It lowered slightly; the Redeemer was stronger than him. With a growl, the Redeemer grasped his costume threw him into the building. He hit it hard, shattering the stone wall.
"Try this one out," he growled, whipping is arms together and throwing a tornado with Windman's powers. He threw a blast of electricity in and created and electric storm heading straight for the Redeemer.

The Redeemer stopped it with time, then sped it up within a contained area until it died away. Then he ran towards Herbert and tackled him through the wall of the building. They crashed through to the other side, destroying a desk. The Redeemer grasped Herbert made to punch him again.
To note, the Redeemer's armour was cracking along one arm, it was scored with the lines of Canagold's heat vision, and his cape had been all but incinerated in the earlier explosion.

Herbert rolled with the punch but it still made his ears ring. He got his leg under the Redeemer and kicked out, throwing him off him in a burst of superstrength.

The Redeemer was thrown backwards, but rolled to his feet. He teleported away again, intending to reach Redeemer.

Herbert dashed again at superhuman speed and grabbed the Redeemer as they teleported away. He called on Champion's power and tried to rip away his armour with a huge spinning disc of energy in his hand as they teleported.

The disk sawed into the armour and part of it cracked off. The Redeemer growled in anger and slammed his elbow into Herbert's face, but in any case, the teleportation was broken and they appeared in the middles of another building. This one was much closer to the Mi5 building.
The Redeemer roared in anger and kicked Herbert in the stomach, a blow that would send him flying across the floor (like Sylar in Heroes!)

Herbert went flying and hit the floor, skidding. He sat up and thrust his hand out, spraying out a wall of red hot fire, past the Redeemer, to block his path. With his other hand he gasped the Redeemer with teleknisis and started to pull him towards himself.

The Redeemer plunged through the fire, beginning to teleport, but Herbert's pull jerked him back. He threw out both his arms, and a blast of energy smashed into the ceiling above Herbert, even as the Redeemer skidded towards the Olympian.
The ceiling began to crumble and crashed down, falling towards Herbert.

Time slowed down by Herbs perspective and he reached out, catching the ceiling with superstrength. With a grunt he threw it towards the Redeemer and leapt after him. He activated Chris' power and energy flared around him. He punched into the ceiling, through it and into the Redeemer hopefullybascje was distracted catching it.

The Redeemer blasted away the wall casually, but was caught off guard by Herbert's fist. He was thrown backwards, the energy rippling across his armour and smashing his helmet.
The Redeemer of Men rolled across the ground. He lay for a second, then pulled himself up. The lights in his helmet flickered, then shut off. With effort, he ripped apart the helmet, throwing it off.
The face underneath looked to be in his early forties. He has greying brown hair, strands of which hung over his forehead, drenched in sweat. His face looked worn and tough, like he had survived some kind of concentration camp. His entire face looked like it had been pulled tight across his bones. He used to be handsome, but that had faded with the apparent torture.
Perhaps most striking were his blank eyes. They were colourless and he gave off the air of someone suspended in time, who had halted their age for the last few decades, which he had.
The Redeemer growled, breathing heavily. He wore a scowl. He pulled off another broken piece of armour, near his shoulder.
'Why couldn't you leave well enough alone, Herbert?' he asked, in a crisp English accent. His voice, unlike the rest of him, was strong. 'I want to save us; you know that right? I didn't kill your father. I just removed him for a second until I could set up a new, just Olympus, here. He's still alive now, don't you see?'
He looked tired. 'I'm not sure I can beat you Herbert. But I feel the enhanced power leaving me, and the hour is getting late. You're powerful now, when training means nothing. But how many of those powers can you emphasise with? Not enough I bet,' he remarked. His eyes glanced at the Mi5 building though, and he looked distracted. His mouth was tight.
