"He turns invisible, no one would have to know if I just casually killed him," Chris thought to herself. Nathan really made her blood boil though maybe she was just still on a high from the fight?

“Ha.” She stared up at the starry sky. “I just wish we could have saved, Lucio.” She would have squeezed Alex's hand, but her muscles were too tender so she just lay there. “Do you think the paramedics are just going to leave me here?” She laughed a little, but on the inside all she could think about was Lucio's body and the smell of seared flesh.

Herbert turned away from Chris and looked at Nathan. "Let's go talk. You can choose where; maybe the cafe?" He turned back to Chris, smiling. "Don't worry, Chris, I've got this. The less you know the better. Could you do me a favour? Just make sure everyone is okay, like Aurora and you know, everyone else."
He smiled at her before looking at Nathan. "Let's go, perv."

'I know,' Alex said to Aurora's comment about Lucio. 'I didn't see Lucio until he was already down. Like I said, let's not assume the worst. Not yet. But whatever happens, you did all you could to help as many people as you could. You can't blame yourself for every injured person, Aurora.' He looked her in the eye. 'I mean it. You did good. And, from what I saw, I can only assume Lucio was trying to do the same, trying to stand up to those psychopaths.'
Alex looked in the direction the medics had gone. He spotted them grabbing supplies from the back of an ambulance. 'I think the paramedics are just getting some bandages or something to patch you up with. You'll be fine. I can help you get back to the Accommodation Centre when you're sorted, if you want.' The medics were already heading back in their direction.

Aurora frowned for a moment. “Alex, let us not gloss over facts. Most of us were idiots in there.” She closed her eyes. “I was so worried that Chris and Herbert were going to get themselves killed. I admire that they didn't hesitate, but jumping into a fight like that against two extremely dangerous, infamous Supers, unprepared and untrained, what were they thinking? I'm going to give them such an ear-full when I can move again.” Aurora somewhat pouted.
“I was just as bad though. I was focused on getting people out of there and then I lost myself to- well, I guess I wanted to see what I could do in that situation. Then there was you. You were focused on protecting. I'm guessing you're the reason I'm out here right now?” The paramedics returned with a prescription bag.
They placed it in her hand and then explained that they were painkillers. They had done what they could for her torso, but the bruises she would have to deal with on her own with the high painkillers. Aurora thanked them and immediately took the medicine. "I think getting back so I can have good rest would be a good idea. Is there a wheelchair we could ste-aquire?"
(OOC: Because PD said I could and I want to see how well I do at it; )
As drones and Olympus personnel ushered people out of the club, Olem picked himself up to make himself scarce. Those who needed help were already being helped and the less interaction he had with Olympus, the better. His eyes glanced over the business card he had been handed and casually tossed it into a bin as he left the building.
Once the air hit him, he felt dizzy. Olem stood still to make sure he was stable; under the guise of taking his cigarette box out and lighting one up. As he inhaled, he looked out at the people being seen too, keeping his eyes out for his new acquaintances to make sure they were alright. Once satisfied that he was steady and the others were okay, Olem headed toward the accommodation block.
The image of Lucio's body was prominent in his mind. He tried to push it out, but he had been a bit too close to the incident. Olem had seen the size of the hole, he had tasted the smell of the seared flesh and witnessed the lights fading from Lucio's green eyes. Olem subconsciously gripped his book in his pocket while he took another breath of nicotine. Ruin was a dangerous psychopath and Olem would not forget who that man was or what he had done.
He was going to have a long shower and then maybe he would return to thoroughly make sure the others were okay. For now, he just needed to get away.

The drones had left Ed alone at Aurora's bedside while she was still sticky with blood, but then the alcohol wipes had come out. It was Aurora who had made her tooth grow back, had taken her concussion and her broken nose, and it was her blood splattered up Ed's arms and soaked into the knees of her jeans. Ed didn't want to leave her, and fought when the drones gently ushered her out, but she found herself pushed out of the medical tent and to the very edge of the -- disaster zone.
There were people crying, from whimpering to outright sobbing, and sometimes the terrible quiet of where crying should be. Ed didn't see where they'd taken Lucio -- was he still in the RaveSpace? Lying in a pile of rubble on a sticky club floor? That wasn't right, he should be -- he should be --
"Ed?" a small voice said behind her. Isaac had a butterfly bandage on his cheek but other than that looked fine. He was fine, but he was looking at Ed with big eyes and wobbly lips. He was fine, wasn't he? Why was he looking at her like that? "Are you -- OK?"
"Yeah, I'm OK," Ed said, sounding faint even to her own ears. There was so much noise. "My friend, she -- she helped me. She got hurt though." Ed scratched at her hands, where the blood was flaking off. "She got hit, really bad. And Bella, he--" she choked on her words and Isaac took a step towards her. "He got shot, and I could smell it, burning, and--"
Isaac wrapped her up in a hug and only then did Ed realise she was crying, so quietly. "Hey, it's OK," he said, "there wasn't anything you could do."
Yes, there was, Ed thought.

Now that Herbert had gone, Chris walked outside, breathing in deep the cold, crisp night air. She needed to calm herself down from the nights events, her energy was still running high. She looked around for the others. She spotted Ed outside the medical tent embracing......someone........with horns? Chris tentatively went up to them but did not say anything. Instead, she wandered in to where Alex was watching over Aurora. She was okay? How? The how didn't matter at the moment though, all that did matter was that she was alive and safe.
"Hey guys," she wearily addressed the two.

“Hey...” Aurora whispered when she heard Chris' voice. “You were amazing out there. I mean, reckless, but amazing.” She tried to sit herself up as the painkillers started to kick in. “But next time a blood thirsty man with a plasma canon and an infamous dangerous thief ruin our night out can you at least think before you rush into the fray? Ugh, you know what, we're all too tired for this. I'll lecture tomorrow.” Aurora sighed. “For now, you did a great job. Thank you. You really kicked butt out there.”

"Um well thanks I guess," Chris said as she scratched the back of her head, "you did great too, both of you. I think it's safe to say we all helped save lives today."
A smile started to appear on her face but was quickly wiped as the thought of Lucio suddenly came back to her.

'Aurora,' said Alex, 'I just moved a few people outside when things got bad. I didn't do half as much as you guys. You took on an actual supervillain. And you seemed to have some idea of what you were doing. Which is more than I think could be said for Herbert's plan of attack... but I guess he's getting there.'
Alex let the paramedics hand her the painkillers and watched as Aurora took them. 'Not sure about the wheelchair, but I can help you up, give you some support. It's not exactly a long walk back to the Accommodation Centre.'
Alex turned as Chris turned up. 'Hey,' he said. 'We all did what we could. Everyone. Powers or not.' He looked away for a moment, considering what he had told Herbert. He didn't like the idea of lying to these guys, but with what he had in mind, with what he knew he was going to do... it would be better if they thought he was powerless. And he had taken special care not to make it obvious he had used his powers tonight. Just a slight easing of gravity to help him carry people out of the club and, when he had hurled Blink across the room, he had done it with only his focus, giving no physical sign the attack had come from him. In all the madness that had been going on, that attack could have been anything. 'I was, uh, I was saying to Herbert earlier, I think since the start of the week, my powers... the whole gravity thing... it's not really stuck around. I'm powered down. Might have been of more use, otherwise.'
He put an arm around Aurora so he could help her up. 'Come on, let's get you out of here. Chris, want to give me a hand?'

"Sure," Chris smiled as she went over and slung Aurora's other arm over her shoulder to help support her injured friend.
