According to the official history of the university, the Students Union Building, endearingly called the Barn, was an abandoned warehouse where twenty-seven students first met on the 2nd November 1921 to discuss forming a group to better represent themselves. The unofficial history, as told by the students, is that the students who met in the warehouse were all survivors of the First World War, and they met in the building not to discuss university politics but to use vast amounts of alcohol and drugs to forget thier experiences. Either way, the Barn became a hub of student activity and was finally bought by the University in the early 1950s to act as the official Students Union Building.
While the outside of the building still looks like your average London warehouse, with dark red bricks, the inside has been totally renovated into a two-room building. On the bottom floor, one can find many walk-in centres, such as a small Citizens Advice Bureau and the Sex Centre, surrounding an open area with comfy sofas and chiq tables to act as a social area. On the walls there are portraits of notable students, but the favourite is of Charles "The LAD!" Johnson, who, in 1993, climbed the tallest building on Campus wearing nothing but a neon pink thong for a £5 bet. Upstairs holds the administrative side of the SU, including the presidential office and the Societies Council.

Once word had got out Captain Omega would be visiting campus - let alone the fact Olympus had stationed a squadron of Guardian Drones here - a protest had swiftly followed. Students flooded the SU building, holding banners and chanting as one. There were a few who were uncomfortable with the emergence of superhumans altogether, there were those who felt Olympus was nothing more than a way of controlling and policing superhumans without admitting to infringing on their freedoms, and there were many who simply could not abide the presence of any government force on campus. Though unruly, this swarm of students united under one clear message:
'CAPES OFF CAMPUS!'

Signe followed Aurora into the Student's Union, the first time since she got back. She had never really liked this place, but then again she had always been alone.

Aurora opened the door to the Students Union and held it open for whoever had joined her. She scanned her surroundings, particularly checking for a certain face. She could not see it and that put her at ease.
The Students Union was fairly busy. There was a cake stand ran by the LGBT+ society selling rainbow cupcakes cheaply as a fund raiser, but also to let the other students know that they existed. A group of Freshers were stood outside the Sex Centre with jelly-flashing balls hanging around their neck, laughing about the chlamydia test. Other's were relaxed in the comfy sofas, some with food others with laptops. Society presidents were hovering around, getting themselves noticed in order to reel in fresh meat. The 'Capes off Campus' banners were still pinned proudly to the notice board; a few Anti-Olympus folks sat beneath it.
As Aurora let the door close behind her, a representative of the Sex Centre came up to the group. “Rora!”
“Katie!” Aurora smiled and welcomed the other female with a warm hug. “Everyone, this is Katie, Third year, Psychology. We've been friends since Freshers.”
Katie broke away from the hug. She had long, straight red hair pulled back into a ponytail. A bit too much foundation but perfect eye-shadow. “Wow Rora, it's not like you to be making new friends.” She laughed.
Aurora smiled gently. “These guys are a special exception.”
At that point, a fairly tall male with blonde spiked hair came over with a rainbow cupcake in his hand. “Rora-Pora~!” He sung. He stopped and looked at the others with her. He was particularly interested in Herbert. “Who's the fresh meat with you?” He smirked.
Aurora playfully punched his arm. “Not for you, Patrick. This is Patrick guys, don't let him scare you off.”
She searched the area and then turned back to Patrick and Katie. “No Shezzerai and John?”
Through a bite of he cupcake, Patrick muttered; “John has got to the green with the rest of the rugby guys, something about showing off for the Freshers. Shez is... somewhere?” He looked at Katie who shrugged her shoulders.
Katie then turned to the others with a beaming smile. She tapped the pink badge on her top. “Well since you're here, I'll actually do my job then yeah?” She went back to her station, picked up a box of white bags and brought it back to the group. She placed it on the floor and started to hand out white bags that were similar to prescription paper bags.
“The Sex Centre is open twenty-four hours a week with advice, support and emergency contraception. With RaveSpace coming up though, this is just a welcome gift.” Katie laughed.
Aurora looked at the outside of the bag. “What's in this?”
Katie picked up one and started to pick out some items. “2 regular condoms, 1 flavoured, 1 sachet of flavoured lube, 1 sachet of flavourless lube. And a lollipop.” She looked at Lucio (if he joined us, if not disregard) and produced two extra condoms. “I think you will need extra.”
(OOC: Anyone can control Katie and Patrick but they are not weirdos, they are just pretty standard students. Nice, friendly, a bit bitchy.)

Signe quietly slipped off to buy a cake. She'd had problems with LGBT+ before in this country, so kept her head down. It was amazing that for a marginalised group they seemed to forget any other letters in their title existed apart from the L and the G. One of the members last year (should have graduated by now) had bullied her out for showing an attraction to men as well as women and other genders. Apparently that had made her a traitor. She kept her head down to try and hide who she was. Shame there weren't many other Danes on campus.
The lad behind the table looked up at the sound of her accent and Signe froze. Yeah. She knew him, but she was afraid of being seen (being judged) again. She didn't know if she could take more today. "Signe?" He asked. "Signe Vestergaard? God we haven't seen you since last year. Where's you been all this time." "Being crushed by the pressure of relationship norms..." That was what Signe wanted to say. She didn't. She just said nothing. She gradually raised her head so her hair sold away from her face. The lad recoiled apologetically. "Sorry honey. Thought you were someone else. There was a girl with us last year who looks a lot like you. Anyway sorry. Want a cupcake? They're 20p each."
Astounded by her luck, Signe just played along. She took out her purse and gave him forty pence. "Thanks," she said taking two cakes as the information for meetings was thrust into her free hand. She backed away quickly. How did he not recognise her? Either way she was thankful.
Unbeknownst to her her face slid back into its normal features.

Herbert looked around at the den of rowdy students, feeling... comfortable actually. He did better when there were large crowds he could blend into to. He saw he Anti-Supers notice and grimaced. Why was everyone against them? They didn't do anything wrong!
Suddenly startled by conversation being directed to him, he shook the blonde dude's hand. "I'm Herbert, first year, Classics," he rattled off. The dude's name, Patrick, raised and eyebrow. "Well, hello Herbert! Have you had a chance to check out our stall?"
Herbert glanced at it and smiled. "Yeah, it's cool-" he was cut off as Patrick placed a bag in his hand. "I'm sure you'll be getting plenty of action, handsome thing like you," he smiled.
Herbert was unaware he was being flirted with and accepted the bag, trying to joke. "Just try to stop me!" He said awkwardly. He looked at the LGTB stand and realised maybe he shouldn't just talk about girls. Was that rude?
"Guys too, I hope they get action with each other," he said quickly, before seeing Patrick's confused face. "I'm for everything!" Herbert cried, meaning I'm for gay rights but instead making it sound like he was up for gay sex among other things. Patrick raised and eyebrow and stroked his shoulder. "Don';t go getting ahead of yourself."
Herbert nodded; interaction with new people and he'd managed to make them think he was gay. Hooray!

Katie looked at Aurora. “Is this one of yours?” Katie queried as she held out a bag to Signe.
Aurora didn't like that phrase. “Well, I'm pretty sure Signe is her own, not mine.” Aurora laughed. “But yeah, she's with us. A second year.”
Patrick mumbled Signe's name under his breath as though he recognised it, but didn't say anything else.
Aurora looked at Herbert slightly surprised. “Oh Herb, I didn't realise! Well, Patrick can help you out in that department. He's also great at dying hair.” At that comment, both Aurora and Katie drew attention to their hair and Patrick laughed.
“It's one of my many talents.” Patrick said with a smoulder-look thrown Herbert's way. “Anyway, have you guys signed up to any societies yet this year? I'll have to check when the official sign up is as I'm not actually sure... but there are plenty of people around today to give you an idea of what is on offer.” Patrick continued, addressing everyone.

Signe looked at Katie's bag awkwardly, unsure of what to say. She looked awkwardly at Katie, then Patrick then back to the bag again.

Katie jiggled the bag slightly. "It's better to have them than not? If nothing else, you can use the flavoured lube as jam and spread it on toast."

Olem strode into the Student Union building, and made his way towards the group. "This is an eclectic bunch of people" he said, deadpan, as he slipped his gloves on "hello, I'm Olem, first year, Medical Student" he shook hands with the pair.

Katie blinked and looked up at Olem. Patrick was just a little shorter than him.”Pleased to meet you.” Patrick said with a smile but Katie didn't say anything. “Have a bag, big man!” Patrick held out a bag to him as Katie somewhat laughed under her breath.
Aurora smiled. “This is Katie and Patrick, both third years.”
“I'm in psychology with Rora.” Katie explained.
“Creative Writing.” Patrick beamed. “I met these two lovelies at the Singing society here. Great group, a bit bitchy.”
“You can say that again.” Katie grumbled.
“Patrick is also part of the LGBT+ group and the fencing society.” Aurora added. “Katie is just singing and volunteers for the SU. Shez and John aren't here, but Shez does singing and fencing, John is a rugby lad with hidden fencing talent.”
Katie chirped in. “There's sometime Clyde as well. He's not part of any societies though.”
Aurora frowned.

Herbert shuffled uncomfortably at Aurora's congratulations before realsing what had happened.
"Wait, I'm not-!" He was cut off by Patrick moving forward to shake Olem's hand.

"Thanks, I guess" Olem muttered as he took the bag from Patrick's hand. He was probably not going to be able to find a use for any of it, but decided against binning it as soon as he left, to avoid hurt feelings and such.
"Your friends seem to have a thing for fencing" he remarked, which turned into a smirk as he realised something "Rugby Society you say? Hey Herbert, didn't you talk to members of that club recently?"

Signe pulled the lollipop out of her bag, unwrapped it and put it in her mouth. She looked at Herbert as Olem addressed him.
