Herbert shook his head. "Maybe I'll join you later," he said. "I'm going to just sit at the bar and try to calm down a bit. I feel a little hot too." He took a seat at the bar and watched the people on the dance floor, breathing heavily from the exertion.

Aurora looked at Herbert. “Alright, I'll get you a glass of water on the way back in.” She put a gentle hand on Signe's shoulder. “Stick with them for a moment. Please don't be on your own. I'll just be outside.”
Aurora had a gentle smile but as soon as she turned her back to the others, it dropped into a focused frown. She pushed passed the drunken students; they reeked of alcohol and bad judgement. She whacked a stray hand away from her and dodged a girl who collapsed forward. Aurora navigated the club with ease, as though she could dash through it blindfolded.
She stopped at the entrance. A bouncer took her hand and stamped it with black ink. Aurora took the phone back out of her bag and pulled up the profile she had showed Signe earlier. As her heels clacked against the pavement outside, a chill swept through her hair. Her blue orbs scanned from left to right and back again, surveying the faces around her. The air was filled with cigarette smoke and the faint essence of vomit.
With the conclusion that it was currently safe, Aurora approached Olem. She threw her phone into his lap.
“I need you to keep an eye out for this guy. If you see him, tell me where, when and what he was doing. I showed Signe his picture to keep her safe. I'm showing you this picture because I trust you.” Aurora did not look very impressed or like she was in a playful mood.

Chris decided to stay with Herbert and Signe, they looked like they could use someone around them. She went to the bar and got Herbert some water, Signe a coke (she didn't think she should ply her with alcohol) and a vodbull for herself. She returned to the others, offering them their drinks.

Signe took the coke.
"Thanks," she said, with a little smile and sipped it. "Are you trying to hint I've had enough?" She giggled a little and then blushed. "Sorry. Sorry for being wierd."

"In that case, I'll get you something stronger," Chris smiled at her. She went back to the bar and ordered a JD and coke. When she returned, she handed it to Signe, still smiling at her.

Olem opened his eyes turning his head slightly to look at Aurora, before looking at the phone in his lap. He moved the cigarette to the other side of his mouth "who is this guy?" he asked "and why am I supposed to report to you if I see him? I take it he's some strange stalker". He got up, and stretched, taking one last deep breath on his cigarette before putting it out on the back of his glove. "I'm done for now, I'm ready to go back in, unless you want to stay outside"

Aurora snatched the phone back. "I don't know if anyone still talks about this, but in my first year there was a big scandal on campus. Katie and I were living in the same accommodation with 3 other girls. One of the girls was a timid mouse called Jessica. Katie and I were friends with her. I guess Katie was closer to her. Jessica came out with us during Fresher's week. Her drink was spiked. She was raped. She didn't know who by and the only reason she found out something had happened was because she missed some periods." Aurora's expression darkened. "She took the case to the police when Katie had convinced her too. Things got stressful. She was accused of making it up, there was apparently too little evidence and they didn't even have a suspect. They dropped the case. Half way through summer when I was preparing for second year, I got a call from Katie telling me that Jessica had committed suicide." Aurora felt the case around her phone crack. "I never had an idea of who it could have been. At the end of second year, Clyde had started to hang around with usome. He's very normal, fits in with others and blends into the background in groups. I wouldn't suspect him if he hadn't tried to force himself onto, somebody else. It could just be a coincidence, and that's why I would appreciate a second pair of eyes. If he was just fucking with me, I wouldn't give a damn. But I don't think I could leave this to go cold again and put someone as innocent as Signe for example in danger. I was going to bring it to the police, but they've already fucked this up once before. I'd rather you keep this between us for now though." Aurora closed her eyes and put the phone back in her pocket. "I'm going to stay out here. Go and enjoy yourself." Aurora stared up at the sky. An anger brewing inside of her.

Olems face darkened considerably when he learnt about who the guy might be. He placed a hand on her shoulder, and pulled her into a hug. "If he is the person you say he is" he growled into her ear "he's going to resemble that tree that I practised on at the lake when I'm done" and he let go of her. He looked her straight in her eyes "I will keep an eye out for him, I will follow him if I see him, and if I catch him in the act. Well, I'm going to let you have a go first, then I'll make him resemble worm food" he cracked his knuckles, and brought himself back to his full height and stalked back into the building, people subconsciously moving away from him, as his power started to radiate from his body, fuelled by his anger, the teachings of The Redeemer pushed to the back of his mind.

Signe smiled at Chris and took the drink.
"Thank you," she said with a smile and took a sip. "Don't take this the wrong way but you're a lot different to how I first perceived you. I suppose nobody is free of stereotypes, huh?" She laughed a little.

All Chris could do was smile back. Maybe she was improving herself. She could well imagine what Signe's first thoughts about her were, the usual, here's a loudmouthed, cocky, tactless, abrasive, slut. Although Chris was all those, and she knew that, that wasn't all she was.
"Thanks I guess. Though I'm curious, what was your first impression?" She asked.

Aurora was taken by surprise by the hug. Under any other circumstance she probably would have blushed or savoured the warmth, but at that moment she just felt hollow. Aurora closed her eyes as if to try and shut away the emotions. “Thank you.” She whispered and gave him a nod as he walked back into the club. She took his spot against the wall and took a deep breath. Aurora would calm herself down again before re-entering the club to mingle with the others without a care in the world...
