Capital City Univerity suffered badly during WW2, taking numerous direct bomb hits that destroyed many buildings. Thanks to prefabricated constructions, they were able to remain open, but the first proper building wasn't built until 1951: The New Library. Hailed as the finest example of the Streamline Modern architectural style, it is a surprisngly vast building, with numerous underground floors. On the top floor one can find a small café in a group study area, and scattered around the building are collections of armchairs, sofas and coffee tables, occasionally decorated with a sleeping student. The shelves of books apparently go on for miles if laid end-to-end, and tales abound of Porters investigating strange noises only to find lost students who have been missing for days. Despite that, the building itself is light and airy, and the overall feel is not at all clustered.

Finally where he wanted to be, he thought he'd catch some sleep in the quiet atmosphere of the library.

Waking up, neck stiff, he realised dorms would be a much better plave to sleep and headed off.

Lucio awoke with a jerk. He had been face down on a coffee table in a corner of the library, surrounded by books. He tried to remember what he had been doing... Right, so after having a few drinks at the bar, he had headed back to his room for a quick nap, then he grabbed some more food before heading here to read up on... He looked at the spines of the books surrounding him; Greek Pantheon for Beginners; One Name, Many Roles: An Examination of Regional Variables in Ancient Deities; Variations on Dionysos; Greek Colonies on Tellasi... He remembered now. He'd been trying to get more information on his vision after the Vertex incident; he had his suspicions but his knowledge on ancient Gods was not good.
He groaned as he stretched, trying to wake up a bit more. Then his phone caught his eye: four new messages. Oh shit.

Aurora and Katie parted ways after the lecture, and Aurora was somewhat relieved. She headed to the library with a coffee and a panini. She sat down in front of a pile of recommended reading. With a sigh, she opened the first book.

Signe entered the library with her dictaphone in her hand. She was still in quite a lot of pain and extenuating circumstances had allowed her to have a dictaphone to compensate for her broken hand. Signe went over to the section on Charlemagne and pulled a few likely looking ones off the shelf. She had a little time before her next lecture. She should go and find Chris. Chris might be able to help her training and talking. Two birds one stone. Signe took out her books and left the library.

Aurora flicked through the pages of the second book. Her mind kept wandering from the paper. She felt like she should be angrier, upset and more conflicted by the fact that people had died at hers and Olem’s hand. She ran her fingers through her hair; brow furrowed. Katie had agreed with Aurora that the only good time to take a life was if your loved ones were in danger; but that wasn’t what happened last night. Aurora had gone to seek out criminals that she never even bothered to ask the backstory of even though it was offered.
The coffee cup was empty. The panini had been devoured. The books weren’t sticking in her head. Aurora closed the pages and a silent sigh left her lips. ‘I should feel worse than I do about this. Why don’t I?’ She bit the tip of her thumb, harder than she realised. A metallic taste dripped onto her tongue. ‘Everything in my being tells me I should be scared or angry at Olem and myself, yet I’m not feeling that. The very fact that I can sit here right now as though nothing happened disturbs me.’
“Excuse me, do you need a plaster?”
Aurora’s expression softened and she looked up at the short girl with glasses and her dark hair tied back into a bun. “No, I’ll be fine. It’s just a paper cut.” Aurora smiled before she sucked the wound on her thumb.
“Okay, if you’re sure.” The female walked away.
Once she had gone, Aurora looked at her thumb. She binned her detritus and checked out the books she needed. Her phone beeped with a text message from Patrick. Aurora groaned at the very thought of its contents. She replied to it saying she would meet them at the café and then sent a text to her other lot of friends.
She needed advice from Chris.

Margarita entered the library and headed to the chemistry isle. She needed to start her assignment as soon as possible. Once she got the books she needed she sat on a table at the quiet zone. Margarita was reading mechanically from the book. She couldn't focus. So much stuff was happening around and she definitely wanted in. Her impulsiveness was rushing her to do things before she thought about them. Usually her actions ended up in hurting herself or someone close to her and she hated herself for that. Was she evil? She smiled at herself "Margarita" even her name was connected with the devil. She wondered whether her parents named her after the tragic heroin from Faust. She knew what happened to Faust because of his curiosity and impulsiveness. Margarita had to act carefully. The Redeemer interested her but first she had to find out more about him and "Olympus" . She had to become friends with Aurora and the rest and use them for her own gain. Chris came to mind-she seemed flirtatious and reckless. Could become her friend and manipulate her a bit. Margarita sighed disappointed. Chris didn't like her. But she could fix that. A bit of smile, a bit of charm could help her a lot. More secure in herself she started reading from the heavy books. Her beauty and charm wouldn't help her pass the assignment.

Margarita closed the books. "That was enough for today" she said. "I need to ask around about Olympus. The Reedemer raised some interesting issues."
(OCC: Margarita heads off to the Café )

Taniel unpacked his headphones and slotted them over his head as he made his way towards the Library. He pulled out his phone, connected the cable to the audio jack, and started to flip through the playlists he had lined up. 'Melodic death metal? Nope. Various pieces of classical music? Nope. Random assorted songs of varying genre? That'll do.’ he thought to himself as he made his way up the steps of the library.
He swiped his card on one of the scanners so that the gate would let him through and he headed immediately over to the geology section. He briefly spotted a flash of red hair through the bookshelves but ignored it, making his way through the winding maze of strangely organised books. As he reached Geological Hazards, he noticed Alice was there as well, trying to get at a book on the top shelf. He casually pulled down a pair of the books and gave one to her, before moving onwards. He was stopped when he felt something jab him in the back. He turned to see Alice waving at him in greeting, so he decided to put his research to use.
<Good day!> he signed. It was a bit sloppy, but seemed to get the message across as Alice erupted into a shower of expressions. First was surprise, then happiness then anger. She took a step towards him and grabbed his arm, pulling him into a group study room. Picking up a whiteboard pen, she started to squeakily write on the board.
'You said you didn't know sign language’
“I didn't, I decided to learn it” he replied bluntly.
'Why’ her face was filled with conflicting emotions.
“Because I thought it would be useful in the event of further interaction” she frowned at him.
'Further interaction?’ she paused and looked at the board, her shoulders sagged. 'How much sign language do you know?’
“Only the very basics like hello, how was your day etc” he mumbled. He hadn't want to interact with her just yet, he still had more to learn, and didn't like being unprepared.
Alice looked at him again, her large brown eyes looking into his amber. She took a step forward and briefly hugged him, but the Taniel still froze in place due it being unexpected physical contact. 'Thank you, it was very thoughtful’ she wrote on the board 'I can give you lessons if you like’ she added, before quickly wiping it off the board.
“That would be most useful...I mean nice!” Taniel said quickly, his brain trying to keep up with his mouth. A personal tutor for sign language would be very useful.
'Ok, how about we meet at around 17:00?’ she wrote on the board. 'Meet at the cafe, you're buying me a drink as compensation’ she turned to him with a stern look, but a twinkle in her eye.
Taniel pulled out his phone and checked the time. It was 15:36. That left an hour and a quarter to do a little bit more practice or find something to revise in the library. “Sounds good” he said, smiling at her “I'll meet you then”. He then waved goodbye and walked out of the room back into the labyrinth.
'This much socialising in one week? What's the world coming to’

Taniel had managed to 'burn’ an hour of time in the library, browsing through various books filled with topics and decided now was best to head to the cafe and meet Alice, so he headed out of the building towards his destination.
