Located on the edge of CCU Campus, Olympus's new recruitment centre has been established to give students with superpowers a chance to register with Olympus, meaning they will be trained in the use of their abilities and be able to legitimately act as superheroes. All Olympus heroes, while having to follow Olympus's code and regulations, get the most advanced suits available and an array of Olympus gadgetry, including communicators, miniature first aid kits and an Olympus smartphone, featuring crime alerts and access to Olympus's intranet.
The Recruitment Centre is a squat, metallic building, with glistening white and silver surfaces inside. Upon entering, you will find yourself in a small waiting room, where you can check in at the reception desk. When called, you then move into a vast white room, the only feature within which is a solid white desk where an Olympus panel sits, made up of Whyzz, Voltage and non-powered Olympus recruitment manager, Phil Hill - a short-haired, smiley, bespectacled man in a smart suit and stripy tie.
You will be asked your name, power, some information about yourself and why you want to join and then, if you feel comfortable doing so, you will be given a chance to demonstrate your power. Olympus are usually happy to take on all applicants, regardless of their power level or ability to control their powers, as they see it as part of their role to mentor and guide young and upcoming superhumans. They would rather a superhuman receives proper training, help and support than risks an accident through lack of control of their powers.
Your future awaits, superhero...

'Here we go, then,' whispered Whyzz. 'The first one.'
'A new era of superheroes,' said Voltage, sat beside her, in the centre of the line-up behind the desk. 'The people walking through that door - one day, they're going to save the world.'
'I'm rather looking forward to this,' said Phil.
The first applicant walked in, a broad-shouldered, shaggy-haired English Lit student. They asked his name (Scott Bronson), age (21), inquired about why his background, why he wanted to join (he wanted to learn to control his powers and do something of use with them) and then they asked more about the powers.
'Well,' said Scott, standing before them, 'when the explosion went off I thought I could create these sort of... explosions of light or energy or fire or something from my hands. That was what was going on at first. Think I upset - might have damaged - a few Drones. But since that night, the powers seem to have died down. Now I'm lucky if I can do anything. Occasionally I've been able to create a few sparks from my fingertips, but that's been it.'
'It's not uncommon,' said Voltage, 'for new powers to exhibit themselves at something near their full potential when they're first acquired, before settling into something much more subtle. It's perfectly possible to build them up again. That's actually a good deal of what we do - when we're not out saving lives, we are dedicated to nurturing and mentoring superhumans to help them reach their full potential and give them complete control over their abilities. Welcome to the team, Scott.'
Scott was beaming, gobsmacked.
'Really? I'm... I'm a member?'
'We'll be in touch, needing a few more identifying documents, but right now we would be happy to have you in a trainee capacity.'
'Thanks! Thank you! Um... when can I get a suit?'
Voltage and Phil each just raised an eyebrow. Whyzz grinned.
'Hold still,' she said. A bright light flashed from somewhere on the desk, like an intensified camera flash aimed squarely at Scott. 'Just getting your measurements. Got a guy working on the suit right now. It will be with you soon.'
Scott grinned as he left. Voltage and Phil were both staring at Whyzz. 'What? You know what he's like,' she said, referring to Olympus's slightly... eccentric costume designer.

The waiting room wasn't busy when James walked in, and the antiseptic white walls seemed to glare down harshly. Everything seemed too pristine, unused, contrived.
It was just nerves. If they had looked shabby and underfunded he would still feel out of place.
He went in when called, slouching nervously through the hall-doors. The room was huge. His footsteps echoed against the mirror-sheen floor.
He gave his name when asked, and then stumbled through the barrage of questions. He explained about the card and the phone call, and the power and the worry. The people in the panel checked papers and tablet screens, they had most of this information already. Then came the most important question:
"Why do you want to join Olympus?"
James thought about it, although he had been thinking about it for days:
"Honestly? you guys can help me. I don't know what's going on, or why. I do want to help people, I want to make things safer. But deep down i'm worried that I might hurt people. This morning the same thing happened when I was near a mirror in the bathroom. My eyes were watering, and I had a migraine for an hour. I guess this isn't going away, so I need to control it. If I can help people at the same time, I guess that is a bonus"
Phil looked unsure, worried, but Whyzz smiled "thank you, for your honesty, and yes, we can help you"
Voltage extended a hand "welcome to the team, James, now, do you have any questions for us?"
James looked relieved "not really... Oh but one thing. Please no costumes." Voltage chuckled as James continued "I mean, you guys look great and all, but spandex really doesn't suit me"
Whyzz suppressed a chuckle "can't promise that i'm afraid"

Lucio tentatively approached the sparse building it was nearing midday , and he had spent the mornign in thought. While he had originally decided that Olympus would be restrictive, he had come to the realisation that it's goals were noble, even if they did not always achieve them. They were superheroes, not perfect beings, after all.
After a brief wait, he was called in. Whyzz glanced at him and went back to cleaning her nails, before doing a double take, her jaw hanging open; "You? But, but, I saw you dead?" That immediately got the attention of the other two. Lucio had to explain his powers and how he had come back from the dead, although he did leave out the Goddess talking to him. Didn't want to seem too crazy.
Phil stroked his chin; "Well, you'll be very valuable to us. While we have some good healers, none of them are as quick as you say you are; I'm sure they'd accept you in the medical wing-" He was cut short by Voltage placing a hand on his shoulder "He'd be wasted there. This is a man with military training and who is, as far as we know, immortal. He's going to be out on the field, helping people. You know that we need more people with less... destructive powers." Phil nodded in agreement, as Lucio raised his hand; "Excuse me, but, uh, what about costume? I mean, I've already had some ideas-" The three laughed; "Oh man, Luigi is not going to like that," WHyzz chuckled, "His costumes are works of art and he is the only artist." while she was smiling, Lucio's face had frozen, "Did you say Luigi? As, as in Luigi-" "Frigolini, yes." "Oh." Lucio maintained a calm façade but inside he was squeeing harder than he had ever squeed before. Luigi Frigolini was a GOD amongst men, a divine fashionista who had worked alongisde Lucio's grandfather in his earlier years. Granpatre Giovanni would be so happy to hear from him again- "Hey, you alright? I asked you what your Superhero name is going to be?" Phil looked at him over the top of his glasses. "Oh, uh... I've thought of one. It's an old Tellasite word. 'Espereus'." "And what does that mean, exactly?" "Hope."

Ed couldn’t stop bouncing her leg. Waiting to be called into the room like it was a superhero audition gave her deja vu, but this time a beautiful boy wasn’t sat next to her trying to set the wall on fire with her mind. It didn’t matter, she supposed, but... It would have been nice to know there was someone out here waiting for her in case Olympus tried to disappear her. It probably wouldn’t happen. Probably.
Taking a deep breath and walking into the room, it was almost disappointing that it was only a panel of three. Whyzz, the Pink Shadow; Voltage, Olympus hot shot; and... Ed blinked at the unassuming little man in a suit. She didn’t recognise him. Was he here to act as an impartial mediator? It was the little man who gave Ed a faint smile, pulling the cap of his pen as he addressed her. “Good morning, my name is Phil Hill and I’m an Olympus recruitment manager. These are my colleagues, Whyzz and Voltage.” Whyzz smiled and waved at Ed. “Can we start with your name?”
“Ed Malone.”
“Short for?”
“Edwina,” Ed grumbled. She hated that question but Phil only nodded and made a note.
“And what is it that you can do?”
Ed gave him a flat look. “I shoot laser beams out of my eyes every time I’m asked stupid questions.”
Whyzz tittered while Voltage crossed his arms and scowled at her. “The question was a serious one, Edwina.”
“Then I’ll ask one of my own,” Ed said. She uncurled her hands from her bag strap and placed them at her side, clenching her fists. She stood up straighter and stared down the Olympus panel. “What is Olympus currently doing to decriminalise the use of super powers?”
Phil looked unfased while Whyzz looked to Voltage. Voltage sat back in his chair, his arms still tightly folded over his chest. “Nothing. The unsanctioned use of powers is illegal and should remain so, for the safety of the public.”
“I’ve done my research, I know the Olympus line,” Ed said. “What is unauthorised use though? The letter of the law is vague and Olympus has too many lawyers for it to be an accident.” Voltage scowled harder at her but Ed only gestured to herself, encompassing the fur, tail and her general inhuman nature. “Does this count as unauthorised usage? Because as the law exists, an officer would be well within his rights to arrest me for simply walking down the street.”
“You would get a special Olympus dispensation,” Whyzz said quickly, glancing over at Voltage. “You wouldn’t be the first individual to need one.”
“Right,” Ed said scathingly. “A licence to exist. How thoughtful.” Whyzz looked taken aback. “If I hadn’t come in today, how long would it have taken before Olympus had approached me and generously offering me a dispensation? Would it have been before I was harassed on my way home from buying food? On a night out with my friends? Or would they have waited until I had already been arrested because someone thought I looked dangerous?”
“You have no proof for your accusations,” Voltage said, half rising from his seat.
“Ain’t accusing you of anything,” Ed said. “It’s the simple truth. I would have needed Olympus, sooner or later.” It’s what had hit Ed when she’d been doing her research into Olympus. The woman with the briefcase, her strangely ominous message for Ed, it had all come back last night. Needed. “And in return, you get to make use of my powers. Everyone wins.”
“We try to make it a fair exchange,” Phil said, looking up from his notes. He’d been writing pretty steadily as Ed and Voltage argued. She hoped some Olympus bigwig got a real kick out of it. “Why is it you’d like to join Olympus? Assuming this wasn’t all pre-empting the inevitable. Something must have brought you here today rather than wait for us to come to you, and I’d like to know what it was.”
“I’d like to be useful,” Ed said. “I think I can be. If you can teach me how to fight, and how to defend myself, I’d like that. I want to keep my friends safe.” She looked at Voltage as she said it, even though the significance was lost on him.
“Thank you, that’s all the questions we had for today. Welcome to Olympus.”
Whyzz looked at Phil in shock and Voltage looked in horror. Ed blinked in surprise as well. She’d half-expected to leave on some sort of list, permanently banned from superheroism or something. She almost didn’t know what to do now that she’d been accepted. “Uh, thanks. I guess.”
After she left, Voltage turned his scowl on Phil. “Why the hell--”
“We’re a organisation, Gilbert, not a dictatorship. It’ll be good for us to get some differing opinions.”
Whyzz looked after Ed. “She is going to raise absolute hell. I kinda like her already.”

Freya continued to breath in and out in slow measured breaths. Looking around at the white walls that surrounded her made her think of a hospital, as though she was a patient awaiting the results of some kind of test. However, Freya is not sure whether or not she would be happy with a good or bad result. She steeled her nerves and sat up straighter in her chair waiting for her name to be called.
Over the intercom system she heard, 'Can Freya Jackson please come through to the meeting room?'. Standing up, Freya walked towards the door cloaking herself in her high society circle persona that she used frequently at home. Freya knocked on the door and waited to be told to enter. After receiving this confirmation, she opened the door and sat down in the chair in front of the panel that sat before her. She felt as though one or two of the people before her were familiar, but she could not put a name to their faces.
'Why do you want to join Olympus, Freya?' asked Voltage.
'I want to help. I need help. I...I have these powers now and I want to know the extent of how strong these powers are and how to control them. I want to make a difference in this world. And I want to do it the right way.' Freya replied.
'We can help you with that, Freya. At Olympus we will push you past your limits. We will unleash your powers and teach you how to harness them. Welcome aboard, Ms Jackson.' Whyzz spoke softly with a smile.
Freya nodded to the panel with a small smile as she rose up from her chair. She calmly walked towards the door, her nerves finally subsiding and a new confidence taking place.
Just as her hand touched the door handle Voltage asked with a smirk, 'What's your name?'. Freya turned back to him with a confused look upon her face. He knew her name. He had used it earlier. Voltage simply quirked up one eyebrow at her expression, as if she was missing the point of his question. Realisation dawned on her face as she grasped the meaning behind his question.
'My name is Madame Orion.' And with that she turned and left the building, a tingle of excitement crept up her spine at finally saying out loud the name she wanted to represent her mark of good in the world.

(ooc- This takes place during the first week.)
Silvia looked around the waiting room, tapping her fingers against her thigh. She sunk in her seat. She had to admit, she was feeling quite nervous. Suddenly her name was announced and she shot up to a stand. Silvia whacked on a bright smile and walked down the white hall to the interview room. Her footsteps echoed around her as she tried to calm her breathing.
She pushed the door opened and spotted the panel of three. Her smile only grew and Whyzz invited her to take a seat in front of them. Silvia sat down with a straight back and her hands on her legs. She tried to irradiate an air of confidence. Underneath her skin, she was still anxious.
It was Phil who scanned his eyes over her application form and looked up at her with a courteous smile. “So your name is Silvia Hartwell, you’re 20 years of age and studying chemistry. Is that correct?”
“Yeah.” She looked a little sheepish.
“You can relax.” Whyzz tried to reassure her. “This isn’t an interrogation and it’s very rare we turn down someone who is seeking our help, especially when we need them.”
Silvia made an effort to relax her tensed shoulders. “Right, I guess I’m just not sure what to expect from this.” She let out a low laugh. “I mean, what if you think I’m not good enough for your ranks? What happens if I’m not cut out to be a hero?”
“We’ll cross that bridge if we come to it.” Voltage said sternly, but still tried to appear friendly enough. “Why don’t you tell us a little about your power and why you want to join Olympus?”
Silvia genuinely relaxed and her smile became more genuine. “Okay, well the blast seemed to have given me clairvoyance. Like I can map out areas in my head, pinpoint the location of people and objects. I can see events going on away from me, regardless of what time it’s happening at-“
At this, Voltage interrupted her. “So you can predict the future?” He said with a raised eyebrow, April springing to his mind.
The student shrugged. “I don’t know. I can’t control what events I see, not yet anyway. And so far the people in the events are normally just flickering lights of energy. I can give you a list of which guys masturbate on my floor though. Geeze, after the blast I could not turn off my ability and OH MY DAYS, the amount of things I could see completely destroyed me. I can’t look at the guy next door to me now after I found out how often he-“
“Yes. Well, I think we have a good idea of your ability.” Phil cut in and straightened his pile of papers against the table.
“Oh! There’s more to it.” Silvia perked up, her smile turning into a smug grin. “I’ve always been awesome at archery, I have the trophies to back me up on that. The power I have though, it’s opened up a whole new level of skill. I can calculate routes for my arrows within seconds using my ability. I can direct my arrows to bounce off of surroundings to reach their destination. I can snipe objects from areas I never would have been able to before.” Silvia seemed to get more and more excited as she thought about what she could do. “Of course, I won’t use my powers in archery tournaments, that’s just cheating.”
“I don’t think that’s cheating.” Voltage mumbled.
Phil raised an eyebrow and looked at Gilbert. “How is using her ability NOT cheating in that?”
Voltage leaned back in his seat and smirked in Silvia’s direction. “Well it’s her ability. Why not use something you NATURALLY have that can give you an advantage?”
Phil’s expression hardened for a moment and he was about to say something about the blast not being natural but Whyzz spoke before he could. “That sounds really interesting, Silvia! So why do you want to join Olympus?”
Silvia smiled gently at Whyzz and subconsciously fiddled with her bracelet. “I think I can be really useful to your good cause. I’ve seen what you do, the lives you save and change and I want to be a part of that. I want to make people smile, keep them safe and live in a better world. Now I finally have something that can truly help people to make the world a better place. I may sound really cheesy, but that’s how I feel. Besides, if I’m with you guys, you’ll train me up and help me develop my powers so I can see further, right?”
The three of them nodded their head. They exchanged glances and Whyzz was the one who stood up and offered her hand out to be shaken. “Welcome to Olympus, Silvia. Do you have a name in mind?”
Silvia jumped up and eagerly shook Whyzz’s hand. “N-no, haha, I’m opened to suggestions though.” As she broke from the handshake a flash went off. She looked around at the ceiling.
Voltage chuckled. “Just getting what we need for a costume. As for a name… what about Trickshot?”
“Trickshot?!” Silvia put her hands on her hips and smiled broadly. “Yeah, I like it! I like it a lot! Trickshot it is. Thanks guys, I really look forward to this!” Silvia said as she turned around and exited the room with a skip in her step.
