Only about a miles walk from the main campus, Mangiamo's is a reasonably priced although privately owned restaurant. It is popular amongst the students for birthday meals out and most of their income comes from the University.

“-so my mother isn't at home a lot. I think she is having an affair with a guy named Jack. Dad seems to be pretty okay with it though. As long as they're happy it's fine, right?” Aurora had talked probably more than she should have on the way to the restaurant. Her hand reached out and she opened the door for Signe. “After you.” Aurora smiled.

Signe smiled and walked through. "Thank you," she smiled. "I wouldn't really call it an 'affair' though if everyone knows about it and is happy, right?" Signe could have kicked herself. She just had to say something weird didn't she? She flushed furiously and turns away towards a the very cheerful looking host. "Hello. Can we have a table for two please?"
The host nodded and ushered them swiftly to a little table in the back corner.

Aurora tapped her finger against her chin as they walked to the table. “No, I guess not, but I don't even know if it's really happening. It's just what I think is going on. I mean, Jack is pretty hot for an old geezer, so I totally wouldn't blame my mum.”
The host sort of looked at the two women weirdly, but kept their mouth shut on the subject and passed them the menus. “Can I get you any drinks?”
“Oh, a bottle of red, please?”
“Certainly, what kind?” Aurora looked at the drinks menu and pointed to a random bottle with a name she couldn't pronounce. She had no idea if it would taste nice, but a bottle of wine sounded like a good idea. “Wonderful. Are you sharing or should I get something else?” The host asked, switching their view to Signe.

Signe shook her head. "No. We'll share," she said trying to smile but the way the host had just looked at her bothered her somewhat. She tried nt to let it show. She was going to have a good night out tonight.

The waiter nodded. “Your drinks will be with you soon.” With that, they elegantly left.
“So what made you pick here?” Aurora said as she looked around the place. “I have no idea why, but I didn't have you down as an Italian fan.” 'Did that sound racist? Did I say that because she's Danish?' Aurora went red a little so she somewhat hid behind the menu.

Signe blushed a little. "Chris suggested it actually. I just... I've never really left the campus before and I wanted to go somewhere nice together." She went redder.

Aurora peeked over the top of the menu to look at Signe. She was so adorable. “Well this place has always been nice! Maybe we should have a girls night out here at some point? Me, you, Chris, Ed heck, even Freya! Oh, then we can go back to the kitchen on my floor, lock the door, get drunk and play stupid games like 'truth or dare' or 'never have I ever' or 'snog, marry and avoid'.” Aurora laughed. “Those games always make me nervous, but I also get kind of excited when I play them.” They didn't make her nervous, but the games usually made her friends blush and get giddy over guys, so Aurora thought it was normal if she did the same.

Signe brushed a bit of hair back. "Sounds nice. I've never played those games before."

“O-oh?” Aurora's face faltered a little. “Well then we will definitely have to play them! Then we can pull all your secrets out of you.” Aurora gave her a wink and then she deadpanned. “I think I've been around Chris too much.”

Signe giggled. It get somewhat alien on her lips but it was nice. It felt... Warm. She smiled at Aurora. "Well I did promise you could ask me anything."

The smile was infectious so Aurora grinned back. “You did! Let's start it clean. What's your favourite colour?”
The waiter came back and placed two glasses on the table. He poured the wine into each and left the bottle on the table. “Are you ready to order?”
Aurora looked at the menu. “Oh, can I have a few more minutes please?” She spent more time hiding behind it than actually thinking about what to eat.
“Of course.” He bowed his head and walked away.

"Um..." Signe smiled. "Green. I like green." She also looked at her menu. "So what's yours? Is it pink?"

“Like your eyes.” Aurora pointed out. “Did my hair give it away?” Aurora laughed. Her favourite colour is blue, but no-one knew that. Even her own mother, since Aurora was five, thought it was pink. “Hey, here's a more personal question. Have you thought what you're going to do with your powers?” Aurora had checked to make sure no-one was in earshot. Their little corner was a perfect place for such a conversation. “It's illegal to use them without Olympus keeping a profile and a invasive eye on us, right? So are you going to join them?”

Signe looked suddenly worried. "I'm not a hero," she said. "My powers are pointless in a fight. I'm glad too. I'm not a fighter. I was as surprised as everyone else when I found myself punching the Green Bink. I just intended to leave well enough alone. But then i realised I could be somebody like this."
