Olem's stance quickly changed to one more suited for brawling as he noticed a sudden change within the normally calm girl. His feral grin returned as he raised a hand to grab her leg and deflect it away from his body. He didn't want to hurt her, so decided against fighting back instead preparing himself to block her incoming kicks.

Herbert winced at the sudden surge of emotions from Aurora;; the anger was quite painful and he knew Olem had said something bad. His hands started to feel weird and tingly. Turning to Chris, he focused on her, trying to calm down. Be Chris, be calm and optimistic.
"Can I try?" He asked Chris, raising his fists.

Aurora felt the kick deflected, but Aurora wasn't really in her head anymore. Her body followed the direction the leg was deflected to, her body swiftly and smoothly piverted around so as soon as she could jump onto her right leg's foot, the left leg was hurled into the air at him. Again, it was blocked so Aurora ducked forward to try and get closer to him.
With a lunge forward she stood in front of him and went to knee him in between the legs, in a hope that she had closed the gap enough. Aurora was deaf to the rest of the world around her.

Olem rolled to the side, but took the kick to his side. He grunted, annoyed at himself for his slowness. He realised that he had triggered as quickly stood up to his full height. He moved towards her and threw his arms around her, in a vague attempt at a hug "Aurora, please can you calm down" he said, tightening his grip, trying to stop her from kicking him again. "You did nothing wrong, it was out of your control. I'm sure you were a great friend. Now stop this nonsense, or I will be very, very annoyed" he said, attempting to joke but there was an underlying serious tone to his voice.

Ed took a step back and wolfed down the rest of her sandwich. This training was a great deal more heated than she'd expected; Aurora was going at Olem like she wanted to kill him. Whatever he'd said must have been bad. Ed wasn't worried for Olem though; a small, extraordinarily petty part of her thought he could probably stand to be kicked in the head a little more.
Ed perked up when Herbert raised his fists. "I'll fight you!" she said, dropping into a poor imitation of a boxer's stance. Her grin felt a little looser now, more genuine. "Rora's not the only one keeping powers a secret. I saw you take on that super last night -- you got moves, kiddo. And you know what I said about liars."

Alex walked across the green, Freya following, towards the others. The smile that had been resting on his features most of the morning had been replaced by a look of concern. He hadn't been sure about the idea of this lot attempting their training sessions, but seeing them actually trying it... The sight was far from heroic. Someone else might have almost found it funny, but Alex was all too aware of the dangerous ideas this was fuelling. He knew this wouldn't end well.
'I'm just going to go... have a word,' he said to Freya, before walking over to the group, arms folded across his chest.
((OOC: Had Freya's permission to move her here while she's afk!))

Aurora struggled against the grip trying to block out his words. She stopped moving. She looked up at Olem. “Hey, it worked.” There was a smile on her face and it looked as though there was absolutely nothing wrong with her, aside from the fact that there were trails of tears on her cheeks. Aurora raised a hand to her face and touched it. “Look at that, you hugged me so hard I leaked.” She laughed awkwardly and then stopped and blushed. “Sorry...”

Herbert blinked; he'd expected to fight Chris, like just practice punching. Fighting Ed seemed an easy way to be hurt, especially since his 'powers' were fucked.
"Erm, sure but don't expect much," he said. "I don't really know how I did what I did last night. My 'powers' seemed to be all over the place. But sure."
He nervously got into a fighting stance.

"That's disturbing" Olem muttered, letting go of her "you feeling better now though?" he asked, smiling slightly. His side hurt, but it wasn't busted up like when he thought Chris. "At least we know that you aren't as helpless as you portray".

“I'm not exactly sure I want to fight like that again. Thank you, and sorry for losing my temper.” She dried her face and smiled. Aurora took a deep breath. “You know Olem, you should do hugging more often. You're pretty good at it.” Aurora stormed off toward the bag of food and pulled out a can of diet coke. She started to drink it but had her mouth full when Alex came to the green.

'Uh, hey, Aurora,' said Alex, walking over to her, though his eyes were on Herb and Ed, his brow furrowed. Were they really about to try fighting each other? 'Could I have a word?' he asked, snapping his gaze around to face Aurora properly. 'It's good to see you up and about again, by the way. Seriously, you're looking like you're in much better shape than last night.' He attempted a weak smile before continuing. 'This whole training thing, though, was this your idea? It's just... this isn't going to end well.'

Ed sized up Herbert. She didn't want to hurt her friend, who was looking more than a little worse for wear from last night. If Aurora had to heal them up again -- Ed didn't think she'd feel right doing that.
She bounced on the spot lightly, before striking out with her right fist, aiming at Herb's shoulder. It was a bad punch with little technique to it. Ed was had no more experience fighting than what she'd gleaned from movies and last night's disastrous attempts at heroics.

Aurora swallowed, the blush was still strong on her face. “I'll take responsibility; but Chris was already going to train Herb and Signe anyway. It's meant to be a self-defence class, Chris and Olem know what they're doing.” 'I hope'. “It's important that they learn what to do if something like that happens again, how to avoid a fight, get out of one or as a last resort, win one. Especially with their powers fluctuating and being so wild, they need to get it under control.” Aurora took another gulp of her drink.

Herbert gave Alex a 'wtf am I doing look' before turning back to Ed. He waited for her attack, expecting it to be fast; she was a weird dog thing after all. But when it came it wasn't too bad. Herbert jumped backwards, hurting his leg slightly but getting out of the way of it. That wasn't too bad, he thought.
He reckoned he should make an attack but it would fee weird punching Ed.

Was Aurora blushing again? Not important. What was important was where this "self-defence class" was going to lead.
'Maybe to you it's a self-defence class,' he said. 'You're the smart one in this group and you're right, with the amount of crazy that's been hitting this campus, it makes sense to learn to take care of yourself. Freya had mentioned wanting self-defence lessons for the same reason. That's the only reason I brought her along. But you know that's not what this is in their heads.' He cast a glance to the others, particularly Herbert. 'This is superhero school for them and that is a dangerous idea for them to have in their heads. It takes more than superpowers to be cut out for that sort of life. I just don't want to see any of these guys getting themselves killed because they don't get that.'
