Ed jogged over to the group; Aurora's text had been right, it was easy to spot the bunch of weirdos. She didn't think the Green was very popular in September with the approaching cold weather. "Hey," Ed said, trying to smile and not look fake. "Getting into the training already?"
Her nose steered her towards the food and she quickly picked out a sandwich and got stuck in. "Haven't had breakfast yet. Slept in."

Olem decided to stop doing push ups, a bead of sweat forming on his brow as he jumped to his feet. "Do you want me to help Chris? Whilst my style isn't as fancy and ostentatious as yours, it works" he said, moving towards the group, as they practised throwing punches.

Chris looked over at Olem and smiled. To be perfectly honest she didn't expect he'd join in, he seemed the more solitary type.
"Yeh sure, if you have any other expertise to hand out then feel free."

“Ed! Help yourself to as much food as you want.” A devilish smirk spread across Aurora's face. All the sandwiches had TOMATOES in them. Aurora was about to try and throw a punch, but she just couldn't bring herself to do it. There were a lot of people around and her punches were just pathetic.

Olem moved towards Aurora and put his hands up, palms facing her. "Punch my hands" he said "then we'll be able to see what's wrong with your technique, and with technique comes power"

Aurora looked at his hands. “Right.” With all the force she could muster, Aurora drew back her fist and threw it into Olem's palm. Wind rushed over her arm, a fierce look of determination sparkled in her focused eyes.
*Thud*
Aurora deadpanned.

"Hmm, not bad," Chris remarked, "does your hand or wrist hurt at all?"

Ed grimaced as she bit right into a tomato. Her tastebuds had changed a little along with the whole fuzzy thing -- meats and sweet things tasted great. Vegetables had gone from gross to gross and bland.
Ed tried to surreptitiously spit out the tomato in her mouth into her hand and drop it into the grass beside her. Maybe they had chocolate in one of these bags to get rid of the lingering taste?
"You OK, Rora," Ed said, walking over to her and picking out the rest of the tomatoes. "You took a beating yesterday and went back for more. You up to -- exercising?" She gestured with her sandwich at the rest of the group, posing and punching and doing weights. It was more than a little foreign to her.

“No, nothing hurts. It was just a pretty lame punch.” Aurora whispered, staring at the ground as she retracted her fist. It was more of a tap than an attack.
“I'm fine, Ed. Thanks for looking after me. That really meant a lot. Hmm, I wonder if the wounds I got from the Green Blink will scar?” Aurora raised her head with a look of worry.

Olem raised an eyebrow at Aurora's punch, he'd barely felt it. "Maybe if we angered you, or added some sort of reward then you would perform better?"

Aurora nodded her head. “That could work. Which did you want to try first? Anger or rewards?”

"I'd say anger. It's more likely gonna come up in sticky situation. What do you think Olem?" Chris asked.

"You healed me, didn't you? Last night." Ed glanced down at the ground. "I was pretty out of it but I definitely remember getting a tooth knocked back and then growing it back. That was you? I thought you didn't have your powers anymore?"
She shook her head. "Doing nothing but asking questions again. You need angry thoughts. What gets you het up, Rory?"

"Anger it is, and I think I've got an idea of what do say" his grin turned feral and he moved closer to Aurora. "Everything that happened to Jessica was your fault. It was because of your carelessness that he drink got spiked, your obliviousness that got her dragged off and raped and your inability to be there for her as friend that got her killed" he whispered into her ear, making sure no-one else heard it. He took a step back, his eyes steely as he prepared for the potential aggression.

Aurora was afraid that they would pick anger first. Not because she thought it would get her angry, but because she had an idea of what was coming next. As Olem spoke into her ear, something snapped inside of Aurora. Everything he said rang true to her.
Before he even started to step back, Aurora had already started to automatically move. Her body was no longer in her control. She didn't move to punch, but instead her legs lashed out first. Her shoe rose up into the air in the direction of Olem's face with all the thoughts, force and emotion Aurora had inside of her behind it.
Aurora had a weak punch, but her legs were her strongest point. If the kick connected it would be a pretty powerful smack for someone without any combat training. She was also flexible enough to get her leg as high as it would reach; all of her fleeting hobbies like fencing, gymnastics, running; anything she had used to gain friends in the past was all becoming useful now.
